The 2020 Spicy Festival may be over (meaning that we’re now on our way to Burger Fest!), but that doesn’t mean you have to give up the peppery Mexican cuisine that was featured that weekend.

In fact, beginning Sep 12, the Mexican Embassy is holding Mexican Week to continue the celebration of Mexican culture in honor of the country's Independence Day, and Mexican restaurants around town will be holding events and specialized menus throughout the week. Find your favorite below and get your fill before the week wraps up on Sep 20.
Salsa Dancing El Barrio

Specialty menu Sep 15-20
Tamales de chicharrón
Pastel Azteca
Enchiladas de pollo
Chile en nogada

Join El Barrio Sep 19 for live salsa dancing. Entry is free and there's no need to reserve ahead.

Party and cooking class at Moji's Liangmaqiao location

Specialty menu Sep 12-20
Chile en nogada
Tostadas de Pollo
Quesadilla frita de camarón con queso

Head to Moji on Sep 15 at 5pm for half-price tacos, then join them again for Chela night on Sep 17, featuring half-price craft beer, and on the same night, you can learn how to make your own Mexican food at home if you sign up for their 4pm class. But the real party is on Mexican Independence Day, Sep 19, featuring dancing, karaoke, and drinks beginning at 9.30pm, with no need to book ahead.
